It is not out of way to mention that the BSNL seems to have stopped publication of Directories, as the recent one available with me published in 2006.
I would like to share one Joke of Khusbant Sigh.



Once I was scrolling through the pages of Telephone directory of Ahmedabad. Approximately 80% pages were with the surname SHAH. Jiten Shah, Hiten Shah, A Shah, B Shah etc. etc. I was wondering where from so many SHAHs have come.

While coming back from Ahmedabad I just saw one factory on the right hand side and I understood where from all SHAHs are coming.



The name of the factory was SHAH MANUFACTURING COMPANY.In Chennai Telephone Directory,the maximum subscribers bear the name "Subramaniam".How about in your directory?
Well..... as the telephone directory starts with Surname, the Agrawal, Patel, Pradhan, Mishra, Sharma, Sahu etc. are more in number in my city.In Chennai Telephone Directory,the maximum subscribers bear the name "Subramaniam".How about in your directory?
