For cell phones they support WAP at http://google.com/xhtml or you can (in the US) send an SMS to GOOGL and they'll SMS you back the results of a search. I wish I knew how to access that internationally

http://maps.A9.com/ has a great thing for showing you a photo of the storefronts in select cities like NY
